An Event Titled “Let‘s Give Nature A Breath Too“ Was Organized At Dumlupınar University Tavşanlı Campus

On April 2, 2026, a tree planting event was organized by the Tavşanlı Scientific, Socio-Cultural and Professional Research Community, operating within the Tavşanlı Vocational School, at the Kütahya Dumlupınar University Tavşanlı campus. The event, held with the contributions of Tavşanlı Municipality and Tavşanlı Forestry Directorate, was attended by our Faculty's academic and administrative staff and students. Attendees included Tavşanlı Deputy Mayor Aziz Solmaz, our Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Aydın Kayabaşı, Tavşanlı Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. İsmet Çelik, and Deputy Dean Assoc. Dr. [Name missing]. Aslı Boru İpek, District National Education Director Refik Raşit Küçükkağnıcı, KYK Arslanbey Dormitory Manager Fahri Kahraman, Tavşanlı Prison Deputy Director Adem Tatlısoy, Forestry Operations Chief Ahmet Kazım Aydın, Tavşanlı Municipality Parks and Gardens Director Kenan Karakaya, Tavşanlı Martyrs' Families, Veterans and Disabled Veterans Association President İsmail Altınbay, Agricultural Engineer Fatih Şimşek, along with academic and administrative staff and numerous students, participated in the event. As part of the event, saplings of cedar, cypress, the region's unique Mehmetçik (Ehrami) pine, and chestnut trees were planted, contributing to environmental awareness and a sustainable future.
This event demonstrated that every contribution to nature is one of the most valuable legacies left for the future; each sapling planted served as a concrete example of environmental awareness and a sustainable future.
